Answer:

One of our goals is to design a “cognitively responsible” platform that encourages the finishing of quality stories. While it is certainly possible to write more than 3 quality stories at a time, we choose to impose this limit in the beta version of Switch-Lit to help users avoid starting too many stories that could potentially remain unfinished.

Answer:

You and your partner own the full rights to your story. For more information on story ownership and copyright details, please see our Terms & Conditions page.

Answer:

No, we only publish stories written on the Switch-Lit platform.

Answer:

We partner with publishers and literary organizations to evolve collaborative fiction and poetry on monthly prompt takeovers, Subrosa rounds, commissioned stories, collaborative writing workshops, films inspired by Switch-Lit stories, and in-person events.

Contact us at editors@switch-lit.com to discuss how we can evolve collaborative storytelling together!

Answer:

We only reveal your email address to your personal contacts. This would happen if you send them a story proposal and they do not not yet have a Switch-Lit account (so they know who is inviting them and don’t think it’s spam).

We use your city and country information to categorize stories by writer origin when they are submitted for publishing in the Switch-Lit Library.

We do not share your personal information with any third party vendors.
