Currently, you can write a story with anyone in your personal network if you have their email address.

Answer:

Please send all inquiries and notes to editors@switch-lit.com. We are a small team, and will do our best to respond to your email within 48 hours.

Answer:

The Switch-Lit platform does not have a private chat or messaging feature, so if you need to communicate with your partner about your story we recommend contacting them via email, text, phone, IRL, etc.

Answer:

Yes! Contact us at editors@switch-lit.com for a free document with instructions and examples on how you can use Switch-Lit as a tool for collaborative writing in your classroom or writing workshop.

Answer:

One of our goals is to design a “cognitively responsible” platform that encourages the finishing of quality stories. While it is certainly possible to write more than 3 quality stories at a time, we choose to impose this limit in the beta version of Switch-Lit to help users avoid starting too many stories that could potentially remain unfinished.

Answer:

If you are in the middle of a story and wish to cancel it, you can let your time run out and ask your partner to cancel the story when they are prompted to either reset the time or cancel the story. All canceled stories are lost forever, so make sure you’re sure you want to cancel!

Answer:

You and your partner own the full rights to your story. For more information on story ownership and copyright details, please see our Terms & Conditions page.

Answer:

No, we only publish stories written on the Switch-Lit platform.

Answer:

We partner with publishers and literary organizations to evolve collaborative fiction and poetry on monthly prompt takeovers, commissioned stories, collaborative writing workshops, films inspired by Switch-Lit stories, and in-person events.

Contact us at editors@switch-lit.com to discuss how we can evolve collaborative storytelling together!

Answer:

We only reveal your email address to your personal contacts. This would happen if you send them a story proposal and they do not not yet have a Switch-Lit account (so they know who is inviting them and don’t think it’s spam).

We use your city and country information to categorize stories by writer origin when they are submitted for publishing in the Switch-Lit Library.

We do not share your personal information with any third party vendors.
